About the 14,000 votes "found" for Prosser |
|
The laptop is not an official voting device. The votes on the actual machines should count, not the votes she "found" on her laptop.
She should also be investigated for voter fraud, and if found guilty jailed for a very long time.
I hope Kloppenburg fights this to the bitter end. And files charges if there is fraud.

1. She should be investigated for ELECTION fraud. This fraud has nothing to do with "voters." |
|
And K&R...

This would constitution election fraud, not voter fraud.

4. They weren't "found on her computer". |
|
Edited on Fri Apr-08-11 09:22 AM by PeaceNikki
That was a whole city. If it were blue, I'd want them certified, too. It has been confirmed by a Democratic observer that the 14k was missing from #'s given to media Tuesday.
The claim is that the City of Brookfield's #'s were not in the #'s given to media (mistakenly omitted from the Access database on her PC). Unofficial #'s. During certification, they caught it Wednesday and contacted GAB. Since then, they've been counting and verifying - confirming the gain of 14,314 votes. Waukesha County Democratic vice chair confirms they were omitted from #'s given to media Tuesday and initial investigation confirms the new county totals.
Thankfully we're investigating and Kloppenburg has a great attorney. The GAB is on this, Kloppenburg is on this, the Democratic Party is on this. If there's fraud, we'll find it.

5. She claims they were not saved on the Access database on her PC. |
|
So technically you are correct. So in that case where were they found?

10. They were never missing. The vote totals on her computer didn't match that number because |
|
she had omitted her own county/district from the vote totals on her own database. That erroneous total is what was reported to the AP.

12. As was stated elsewhere on DU: If this asshole wanted to throw the election to Prosser, |
|
this is about the stupidest way she could have done it. Anyone with access to city vote totals and a calculator would discover it in 5 minutes once the error was announced.

32. Agree. That's absolutely true. If this was an attempt to sway the election through illegal means, |
|
then it was an extremely piss poor attempt. As they say, why blame conspiracies when simple incompetence is the likely culprit.

6. Thank you for bringing some sanity to this subject. Like others here, |
|
I want to see a Kloppenberg win. But more importantly, I want to see ALL the votes counted. As you have said repeatedly in thread after thread. Votes were NOT found on her computer, vote totals were kept there. I don't believe that any fraud occurred. But with that said, I would like to see an investigation conducted that would put that to rest one way or the other. Until then, let the recall efforts continue.

Her claim is that she entered the data but it didn't save. Apparently everything else was saved, so how is it that for this particular city the data was not saved?

9. I didn't say forgot to enter, I said mistakenly (allegedly) omitted. |
|
And a full investigation is both in order and happening. Kloppenburg is represented by Franken's attorney, they are on it. GAB is on it. The Democratic party is on it.

13. 14 k which she entered in but somehow it didn't save. |
|
She was using Access database which according to several posters has an "auto save" feature. Even if her Access database is somehow modified that she has to save the data as she goes along, how did she manage to save all the other data but somehow didn't save these 14 k votes?

15. I think that 'our side' will have competent lawyers involved. |
|
I think the worst part of this is that the most important election in a generation has been tainted. Nobody on either side will accept the results and there is no way to have a 'redo.'
Terribly sad and divisive for the state. I'm not going anywhere liquor is served and there is the possibility of political chat for at least a year.

And the GAB is on it. The director on WPR yesterday sounded pissed and said he'd demand an investigation. And he's not afraid of calling shenanigans.

17. Do you think the people in state can get beyond this? |
|
Has this just created the stressor that will result in more divisiveness here in Wisconsin?
I'm really distraught that this has become so muddled up. A clean winner would have been the best outcome. This is just horrible. No one is going to accept any result.

18. I dunno. The divisiveness started last fall and has just tailspinned out of control since. |
|
I am still very hopeful about the recalls. We flipped 19 counties this week. People are pissed.
I agree that a clean winner would be ideal, BUT this was a non-partisan spring election with ONE statewide race. We lifted Kloppenburg up from a THIRTY POINT DEFICIT she held 8 weeks ago. To get it CLOSE to 50/50 is a fucking miracle.
It has been very interesting here in Wisconsin. My soul was crushed and spirit broken in November but I have been given new life since the protests started. I remain optimistic that we are still on a clear path to fixing this.

20. Yes it was a tremendous effort to bring in all the votes for Kloppenburg |
|
And it was amazing to me how the western and southwestern part of the state responded.
I wish we could figure out how to crack Green Bay. I don't know what in the world it is about Outagamie county that doesn't like democrats.
I suppose this should be left to those tied in the recount and the rest of us must get back to recall issues.

|
Delafield did, Eau Claire did, Beaver Dam did, but some here claim Brookfield did without supporting evidence.
In addition, DRE machines produce paper. As required by law.
