2. Where does Brown stand on the budget? Is he in favor of the PP cut? |
|
Forget the unions, he better worry about female voters in that state if he supports this shit.

11. I think Joe would have the best chance |
|
Capuano is rough around the edges - a really scrappy guy - I think he's very polarizing. A like him or hate him kind of guy.
Sadly, I think Joe will choose to sit this one out.
It's a tough situation - now that Brown is in, it'll take a real knight in shining armor to knock him out.
The question remains: Who?

12. I though Capuano would be a strong choice because he |
|
is of a working class background. What about Steve Lynch or Barney Frank?

14. Capuano is too divisive. It will take a skilled, moderate campaigner to unseat Brown. |
|
The issue at hand is whether the Left in Massachusetts see that reality.

is so..., well, boring....for lack of a better description.
I watched him on last night's news, and he comes across as totally uninspiring.

13. Teabagger republicans in Congress are going to force Brown off the |
|
fence that he has managed to sit on. Teabaggers will force his hand on caustic votes that hence Brown has been able to avoid. The election of 2012 is a ways off. Democrats in Massachusetts can't afford to nominate a weak candidate, or one that is both weak and unwilling to get out and campaign relentlessly, as Coakley proved. Massachusetts democrats have their best chance, coincidentally, with an unknown, well spoken, young candidate. The kernel is that person has to be well organized, a hard worker, quick witted and have politics that appeal to Independents and moderate democrats. The reelection of Deval Patrick when the hard left had deserted him shows that an accomplished campaigner can pull enough centrist votes to win. With Brown invariably being tugged harder right in the political battles to come, democrats in Massachusetts have an excellent chance of unseating him if democrats have the discipline to nominate a candidate that can neutralize the center and win.

To Brown's credit, he hasn't snuggled up with the baggers, actually angering them, however he's still an (R).

18. I'm afraid that Brown will win |
|
Polls show him with broad support. He could be on his way to becoming a Jim Jeffords. I don't mean he's anywhere near Jeffords in stature or decency, but he could be a republican who holds a Senate seat in a liberal state for a long time.

20. Because of his occasional votes with the Dems, he's seen as an independent. |
|
Doesn't matter if he mostly votes with the Republs, he's still seen as being independent.
