CNN has this on their "Gotta Watch" videos today:

Regarding the story of Saddam's statue being brought down, please see these 4 photos and judge for yourself whether this was a huge cheering crowd of Iraqis or a stage-managed photo-op:






You will note in the first two photos, how empty that square really was, and also how many U.S. tanks were around the square.

It is shameful when we cannot trust our news media to report truthfully. It is doubly shameful when, years later, the same news media tries to recycle the old lies.

Shame on you, CNN, for repeating the lies. Your reporters KNOW the truth and yet you persist in presenting comforting lies to the American people, so we cannot be informed and make decent judgments for ourselves. Somewhat like the government-run press in the old USSR, only nowadays in the US it is the corporate-run press that feeds us pap and doesn't give a hang about the effects on our democracy.
