Imagine what 7,500 surprise votes should tell us

Posted April 8, 2011

On Thursday, April 7, in the required statewide canvas of election results, the Milwaukee County election clerk reported 7,500 more votes discovered in West Allis for JoAnne Kloppenburg, giving her an insurmountable lead in the race for Wisconsin Supreme Court. That raised West Allis turnout of eligible voters to a believable 39% and will force her opponent, incumbent David Prosser, to have to pay $5 a ward if he wants to challenge her victory, since the new margin puts her safely above the half of 1% threshold where the government pays for the recount.

This is shocking news, and I made it up.

I made it up after a night of talking to law enforcement leaders and public officials about the dumfounding and frankly unbelievable discovery of 7,500 more votes for Prosser in GOP stranglehold Waukesha County. It was those I interviewed who offered my “what if” news story as an alternative.

1. This is not a recount problem but possible election fraud.....
In this day and age, post Gore v Bush era? An election official storing collected election data on a personal computer? And then releasing that data way, way after the tallies in the state had been announced?

God, that rotting fish smell is bad...........and the smell won't go away even after Prosser takes his seat on the bench.

2. all day I've been wondering, "If a Democratic Election supervisor
had these votes on their personal computer" what would the talking heads be screaming about this evening? If the same elected official was a one time employee of the person running for office, would they say,"Oh well, things happen"?

Yeah, we're watching a total burn down of our election process. I mean, how can anyone be sure of what they voted for, who they voted for, or even the poll watchers and machine set up men?

3. How many threads and how many times in those threads does it need
to be stated that she did NOT have votes on her personal computer? She reported the tallies wrong to the press. Fucked up? Yes, incompetent? Yes, illegal?, No.

4. Honestly if Kloppenburg found 7500 votes in the same was the repukes did
They wouldn't legally be allowed to be counted. They have them blocked and they would never get unblocked. Even if they were legit. Think of the uncounted ballot bags found thrown away after Florida.

THe repukes have absolutely no sense of right and wrong. They are hypocrits in the fullest sense of the word.

5. Paging Eric Holder....Atty Gen Holder....
Attorney General Holder should IMMEDIATELY launch a full-scale investigation into likely voter fraud in Wisconsin.

This is just outrageous!

he's already made his tee time appointments and is now getting his hair and nails done.

This Wisconsin thing is just gonna have to wait until the big daddy gets a fix on it.
