I thought that the GOP was going along with the "spending cuts" excuse. I don't see the GOP gaining much traction on this issue and even some ultra-conservative Senators like Toomey and Coburn (hell hath frozen over!) are starting to publicly question having this be part of the budget battle. 5. I just heard the talking points spewed by some vicious evil republican woman on the radio

1. PP gets $1,000,000 a day in funding.

2. PP showed a $67 million profit last year (even though they are non-profit)

3. Abortions are paid for with federal funds.

4. There are THOUSANDS of other entities that offer free medical services.

saying for two days now that even the old time repubs want to get rid of PP.
Of course articles have quoted old time repubs as saying they do not want this and want it dropped from negotiations.

Dems need to come out strong in support of women's health and the value of PP. Women are more than half of the population. This is a no-brainer.
