the Department of Defense and recall all troops, close/sell the bases overseas, arrest all mercenaries and have the local authorities deal with them, retrain the troops, do a complete and final audit of where all the money that's been sucking up a lot of taxpayer money and get them back.

Then Homeland Security will be permanently disbanded - all the alphabet agencies will once again be independent of each other, and the only thing that will exist from the disbanded Homeland Security crap is one honkin' central database with the relevant info that is constantly updated but under lock and key and no 'Net access (to prevent hackers)

Finally, the Department of Interior will order all oil/gas companies nationalized and a permanent price of $2.25 on gas prices, while using the massive profits (which will be seized by the IRS for failure to pay taxes on it) to subsidize the difference. And finally they must use 75% of the profits to fund R&D on alternate energy development.
