4. Don't hold your breath |
|
In the last congress, our leaders gave away everything that mattered in the healthcare bill...and they had majorities in BOTH houses.
To a lot of them, sticking it to US is more important than actually winning elections.

8. Given that all the talk is about "the middleclass", I would be willing to bet what was given away |
|
is programs affecting poor people.
I will be very surprised if that is not the case. And judging from what I hear from other poor people, that is what every one is expecting.
DEath. Its a GOOD THING.

10. Your right...it's hard to avoid the conclusion |
|
that the leaders of BOTH major parties pretty much want all the poor to die.
And the Dems don't even get it that what the 'Pugs have already done will drive most of those who insist on calling themselves "middle class" back down into poverty in a few years.
Welcome back to the 19th Century(or, perhaps the Greater Bourbon Republic).

13. And how are we going to do that? Here is the problem... for some of us, there is enough life left |
|
that the end won't come easily.
So, are they going to provide a safe and painless exit? Would that be too humane? All the animal lovers will see to it that animals can go easily, but humans who have been closed out... NOPE.
Here is what came to today from the most liberal... Bernie Sanders:
"I feel strongly that my Republican colleagues are wrong in trying to move toward deficit reduction solely on the backs of working families and the middle class."
Middleclass, middleclass, middleclass.
There are many right here at DU who don't fit into either of those categories, and are suffering. I hear from those who know it is hopeless and are ready to die. It tears my heart out, but does it affect the average "progressive" enough to actually take ACTION? Nope, it is only their pets.... the Planned Parenthoods, and the rest.
To hell with poor people.
Yet, I get told that I am "too angry". Well fuck.... hear the stories of people who know they don't have much longer because they are throwaways in this culture, and then not be angry?????
This isn't just about political "leaders"... this is about ALL "PROGRESSIVES"!!!!

19. Not every poor person lacks housing - but an unwanted pregnancy can make a bad situation much worse |
|
PP charges on a sliding scale. No/low income = no charge for exams, medicine, birth control, etc. If you don't understand how that benefits a poor woman, I pity you.

according to Anthony Weiner on Rachel about 30 minutes ago. It seems as though the Dems have finally come to the conclusion decades later that the republiCONS are INSANE,but they never listen to the base,we told you so.

people will quietly go away.
Not that it matters.

24. "voters remorse"? There are already people who have given up. |
|
It doesn't matter.
We then just get BLAMED for the election losses.
You middleclass people win all the way around.
There are many here at DU who are in this predicament. I wish you could hear their stories. It rips my heart out.
But they know they can't talk about it.. they would just get attacked. They have given up hope.
