1. So we're back at the same place Monday night. Chuck Todd just said the deal is up to $39B too.
Not sure what any of this means.

5. Anthony Weiner, on Rachel's show, warned about this.
He said the Planned Parenthood thing would come up again and again. He also said that Democrats needed to get more "fight" in them.

He seemed disgusted with the Teabaggers but with the weak passive Democrats as well.

7. So could PP still possibly be defunded, or is it not touchable now?

8. Um, not what he said at all. Get the facts right
Obama said he'd veto any measure that includes riders like EPA restrictions and Planned Parenthood cuts.

13. He said no more stopgaps unless there is the framework for a deal
and the stopgap is just to cover the paperwork time. Which is where we are, get your facts straight.

15. But he didn't say he'd veto any more stop gaps
Just post evidence for your claim. There's none.

23. YOU are wrong.
... he said that stopgap measures were unacceptable or somesuch. He might not have used the actual veto word but his message was very clear, he said that there was no more time for half measures and that he wouldn't support them.

I'm pretty sure an audio or video of his comments are out there somewhere, I don't give a shit to parse his words or his meaning, he said he would not go along with another stopgap and he did not make the riders a qualification at all other than to denounce them.

24. All you have to do is read the news.
Dated April 5

"Obama rejected it. He said he would sign an interim bill only if one were needed to get the paperwork together on a broader agreement and pass it through both houses"

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110405/ap_on_re_us/us_spending_showdown/print

This is where we are today. This is the type of stopgap he will sign.

20. No, the figure reported above is for the budget.
Part of the deal includes a stopgap for three days so they can write the bill and vote on it.

19. Now the news is saying 4 or 5 days to read the bill and vote.
The 4 to 5 days is an extension, but they will vote on the deal they agree to today at the end of that extension time.

That's how I am understanding it.

Sorry, but this country is in a final showdown of competing ideologies. The side that gives up the most now has a lot to lose.
