Republicans Break Their Pledge to Cut $100,000,000,000 this year. |
|
I'm sure that most people are infuriated by the budget "deal". Let's remember though that with this deal, the Republican pledge to cut $100,000,000,000 out of the budget this year gets thrown on the growing heap of broken promises. What does this mean? Well...probably not much. We're all used to the way that Republicans operate.

2. Not really. Most of the things the Dems said they'd do, they've done. |
|
And where they didn't, you can thank obstructionism.

There is a debate about that within the Republican party. They are constantly bickering over it. This budget agreement between Boner, Reid and the President is about the budget bill that should have been passed LAST year. When the teabaggers/Republicans campaigned they were actually talking about the first budget bill they'd be responsible for which is next years budget. They will try to cut at least 100 billion from that - maybe more.
The problem is, for a whole host of reasons we didn't bother to use the overwhelming Democratic majorities we had in both the House and Senate last year to pass this years budget.
