We have:
For-profit schools For-profit prisons For-profit wars For-profit health care For-profit weapons manufacturing For-profit energy suppliers For-profit voting machines For-profit contracted public services For-profit mercanaries For-profit prescription drugs For-profit "war on drugs"
All of these are anti-Democracy. Your voting has no affect on how these are run. They are beyond the control of "we the people".
What runs these is the capitalist "bottomline". What matters to these is profit margins.
Capitalism, as it stands today in America, is anti-Democracy.

And the perception management team is an integral part of the business in casino capitalism.
"Capitalism is the astounding belief that the most wickedest of men will do the most wickedest of things for the greatest good of everyone." -John Maynard Keynes
