Could the budget get tanked next week in the House? |
|
I'm wondering if between liberal dems and the renegade tea partiers, this budget could get shot down. Allen West has already said he won't vote for it and I think there will be quite a few others of his ilk. Not sure about the Progressive Caucus and where they stand.

1. Yes, but it is unlikely. 70 congresspeople voted against the continuing bill, 28 GOPers and 42 dems. |

I imagine the budget will go along the same line. http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2011/roll253.xml

3. 28 Republicans voted against the stopgap last night. |

That would require at least 10 Democratic votes for passage, assuming they don't lose more by the time the final deal is put to a vote.
But there is no indication of a major Democratic no vote on the compromise either.
