I'm no financial wiz but the budget does not seem like rocket science to me |
|
Corporate tax - Lets leave the debate on raising them or lowering them for another day. First, lets just close the fucking loop holes and get them paying... oh say... some tax.
Oil Subsidies - Get rid of them... WTF? We should be hammering this home every day and nailing the repugs to the wall on this.
Tax the top 2% till they bleed - or at least until they squeal as much as the rest of us.
Wars - Lets just cut this shit out now, we have all had enough.
No brainers, do just these and I bet we start having a nice surplus.

5. Even when we had all 3, we still didn't do it, so we really need to ellect new people |
|
However, it starts by getting these kinds of ideas out there so people can think about them, and discuss them.
Doing this on the www is the best place to start.

6. Remember the Republicans require 61 votes to pass anything. |
|
Again, not our fault.
We have to win back the house and win 61 Senate seats in 2012, and then we can get done what we want to get done. It sucks, but that's just the way it is.

The current leadership are captured by corporations which has been demonstrated over and over again. It really sucks, but that's just the way it is.

14. I didn't say all of them. |
|
I am saying that our leaders are ineffective and need to be replaced with people who are more responsive to their voting constituents, and less to their corporate sponsors.

11. All we need is a few smart, honest and patriotic men and/or women. |
|
Is it that difficult to find such candidates and to get them elected? Carter was smart, honest and patriotic and we didn't even try to help him. There are others.

2. How are we going to do that? |
|
We just cut what comes to, relatively, about 530 bucks off a 50K per year salary - and the screaming was loud enough to think we were cutting 50%.

13. The first thing we're going to do is to regain control of the House. |
|
And then we're going to tell Obama what his is going to do or we'll impeach his ass for breach of promise.

And people vote them back in, again and again, because the person on the TV tells them to do so.

heist that is going on is growing rapidly. Soon there will be enough to get their way regardless of who is paying for the media. We have got to stop whining that "there is just no way to stop the rich people". Hell yes there are ways to stop the bastards and pay attention because I think America is seriously thinking about truly regaining their government. (Not the silly crap that the t baggers bleat about. Those racist bastards don't know their ass from a hole in the ground.)
We have got to clue the religious people that they are also being royally screwed so they need to stop supporting the Republican scums bags just because they are thrown some cultural bones, i.e. prayer in schools, anti-abortion and the subtle racism crap. The religious need to start fighting for the middle an lower income Americans. Then, after the Republicans are out, they can practice their beliefs in a climate of personal security.(But, please quit trying to make all of us follow your religion.)

18. side note on the "corporate taxes" in Ohio ... |
|
did you catch the anti-Strickland advertisement where the office workers were standing around lamenting that "Strickland couldn't keep NCR from leaving"?
Oddly missing from that commercial was the fact that NCR overwhelmingly gave their campaign contributions to REPUBLICANS ... so whose fault should it really have been that the skids were greased for NCR to leave Ohio?
(And when was Ohio "overwhelmingly" run by Democrats, anyway? I just did some research, and the State House and State Senate, except for the past two years, were constantly dominated by Republicans, at least since 1967 ...)
