I’m not disheartened, I’m pissed. I honestly don’t know what exactly the Dems are supposed to do. I expect we will lose more in the upcoming months on the debt cap and the next budget- this sort of was predictable when the Republicans took the house. They clearly don’t care if they shut down the government, they don’t care who they hurt, and they are not going to stop doing what they do. They haven’t exactly been subtle about their goals, so I sent the Democrats money and voted for them in the last election. Not enough other people did, the Republicans won, and this is what logically comes next.

I’m not wringing my hands over the President’s statement afterwards, because no one in America paid attention to it, either. Only those of us who obsessively follow politics probably even heard a live commentary from Obama at midnight on Friday. Most sane people were in bed, or out on the town, or spooning their loved one, or something. They weren’t up listening to whatever platitudes the WH was offering, trying to put the best spin on a shitty situation.

This is just proof to me that I need to help raise more money, volunteer more time, and walk more precincts in 2012. It isn’t disheartening or demoralizing, it’s motivating.

1. complacency is what got us the republican majority in the house
People didn't come out in the midterms which is common. The teabaggers were motivated and were the ones who primarily showed up in measurable numbers at the polls last november.

Can't happen again!

I am pissed, insulted, demoralized and disheartened. Yup, I know it's my problem and I will deal with it. I'll be fine, but Unless and Until I see some "Democratic Wing" Party action, I'm afraid I cannot support the party at this juncture.

I was this pissed when Obama signed the tax extension bill and it took me until last Thurs to get over it enough to Enthusiastically Support the Dems and the Pres. I was on the phone all day Thurs and Fri until I was hoarse.

I believed for a fleeting moment that Finally, the Dems & Pres were gonna display their collective "ovaries and balls". While a few Did, (and I thank them) not Enough stood their ground, With Us.
Now, here we are facing Another "shutdown or cave-in" by Friday, Ap 15th.
The whole theater last week was really for naught.

Which way do you think it's going to go based upon past performance only?

When the party won't listen to its people at all, votes to Support that which seeks to "take us down", then I'm afraid I'm out.
The "Modern Dems" can get Koch money, they don't need me anymore. I'm sure at this point the feelings are quite mutual :)

4. I have trouble Fighting FOR people who won't Fight FOR me.
The RICH deserve MORE money,
and The Working class & The Poor should pay for it!

----co-signed by President Obama & the "Centrist" Dem Leadership

An Overwhelming MAJORITY would have supported Obama had he decided to FIGHT.

Who will STAND UP and FIGHT for THIS American Majority?
Lofty Rhetoric, Empty Promises, and Whiny Excuses are meaningless now.

"By their WORKS you will know them,"
And by their WORKS they will be held accountable.

6. One would think what with the great medical advances, the Democratic
Party would actively try to get a group discount on spinal implants and injectionss to make them grow a decent set of balls.

They cave so often NatGeo is considering a special on the Democratic cave coward and how it survives in the wilds of DC.
