5. If you hire a contractor and they fail to do the job they promised, you have the right to speak out.
You also have the right to seek whatever remedies
are available to you including firing them
and hiring another.
The fact that you are not qualified or willing to
do the work (there's a reason you hired someone
else in the first place) does not in any way
diminish your right to address any failure to
perform as agreed upon.

9. If by step up, you mean run for office,
I hope to do that someday, however I'm 1. too young and 2. not rich enough. The second is the biggest problem in American politics, it has became a game for the rich. People who have to work for a living can't afford to run for office or are out spent by their opponents. I suspect if we had fully public financed campaigns and abolished our First-Past-The-Post system and replaced it with proportional representation we would have completely different country
