What Happened in Waukesha? Sign in if you support an investigation.

Wisconsin deserves elections that are clean, fair and transparent. We need a bipartisan and independent investigation by the Wisconsin Election Integrity Task Force.

Add your name to the call for an investigation below.

3. If one does not investigate quesstionable findings or inexplicable election incidents....
then we may as well just stop voting. :eyes:

4. True... And with the political climate in Wisconsin it would be best to remember that
nothing should be taken for granted....

6. I'm pretty sure that there will be investigations whether I sign or not.
But just how many times am I allowed to sign?

My prediction is that we will have our investigations, but be bitterly disappointed with its results. Because although the tally increased by 14,000 there had better be 14,000 pieces of paper that can be touched and recounted to back up that tally. The tally means nothing without the paper trail.

12. me too, with caveat
As long as we get a full statewide recount with the actual ballots HAND counted. No sending the opti-scan ballots through the tabulator again... Of course the DRE machines can be hacked before an election so that even though there is a paper print out, votes shown are not verifiable. But luckily we don't have too many areas using those anymore.

9. I'll sign it, but how much weight ...
... online petitions actually carry is pretty dubious. I can't even count how many I've added my name to that had absolutely no discernible effect.

11. Even if there were no other problems the fact that she had these
votes on her own pc is enough for me to ask that there be an investigation. That should be illegal. She said she was making it safe from hackers? It was not safe from her.

16. How many times does this need to be covered? She did NOT have any votes
on her personal computer. She had a database that kept track of reported tallies for various districts and cities in the county. One of those cities was left out of her database and she reported a very incorrect number to the press. Stupid?, yes, incompetent?, yes, illegal?, not that I or anyone else is aware of. But, with that said, I still think an investigation is warranted to see why she reported an incorrect number to the press.

19. I watched it. So, what does that have to do with her keeping tallies (not votes) on her computer?
The votes will be counted again at some point, and will either verify the information on her computer, or not. But either way, it has nothing to do with keeping *actual* votes on her PC. That did NOT happen. And repeating it over and over again in multiple threads will not make it suddenly true.

sides of the political spectrum do as well. Let's count all the votes, period.

20. Van Hollen-Chisholm Election Integrity Task Force Must Investigate Largest Potential Election Fraud
Case in Wisconsin History.

Yesterday, Nickolaus announced 14,000 new votes were allegedly uncounted in Tuesday’s election for state Supreme Court. Nickolaus, who has been repeatedly criticized for the secretive manner in which she maintains and releases voter data and results, said she simply made a mistake. The record suggests her excuse is implausible considering:

Nickolaus dismissed an independent audit commissioned over concerns there are massive security threats in her current system. Nickolaus, who maintains a secret system for keeping public voting data, condescendingly laughed off the audit, drawing an irate reaction from the Waukesha County Board chair.
Nickolaus was one of two database experts for Assembly Republicans, spending 13 years becoming one of the state’s leading partisan experts on manipulating voter data.
Nickolaus was in charge of developing a computer program that “averaged the performance of Republicans in all statewide races for the previous eight years in each ward and then averaged that information for each city, township, county and district,” making her claim of human error even more ridiculous.
“From top to bottom, Kathy Nickolaus’ story is utterly implausible and an affront to clean and fair elections in Wisconsin,” said Ross. “Law enforcement must fully investigate, immediately seize her equipment and pursue as though a crime might have occurred -- in exactly the same way Van Hollen pursued and prosecuted people he felt improperly voted in 2008.”
