La Crosse had a 40% turnout for last week's supreme court election and soundly supported Kloppenburg by a 59/41 margin, so that bodes well for the Democratic candidate for the 94th Assembly seat, Steve Doyle.

I am not the least bit worried here in La Crosse that the votes will not be counted properly. It does concern me when Democrats at this time don't believe it is important enough to get out and vote. Last week every vote for Kloppenburg was important no matter if it came the the reddest of red counties or the bluest of blue, each one counted exactly the same. If more Democrats all over the state had thought it was important enough to elect Kloppenburg and it was their numbers that increased the overall turnout, then she would have easily won.
