5. The wind is howling, and I'm getting a "butt shot" - the mama eagle's
tail feathers getting blown upward by the wind, taking up most of the frame!

WOW! He's a big baby.

I was watching mom feed them in the wee hours last night, one baby continued to sleep while the other two ate with mom. But the largest one kept pushing the other out of the way, wanting it all. He got pushed so far that mom had to move in order to reach him.

8. where does the other parent sleep?
Late at night, I only see one parent in the nest. . .eagles are not nocturnal at all, are they? I also wondered when the parents eat. . .or if they go off and find food for themselves outside the nest and bring back food for the chillun. . .
