2. Two Unbudgeted Wars, Medicare Part D.......
all of your examples - why the Dems don't take this documentation and drive this message to the American people is beyond me. It is all laid out there in black and white and red. Why the Dems take this lying down without defending themselves and telling it like it is - I'll never understand.

13. Everytime they stand in the well to debate, they should have that deficit chart.
Maybe then, the historical reality will penetrate the minds of the taxpayers.

As Scuba notes above, you never see the obvious displayed by the talking head pundits. That would ruin their fact-less opinions which never seem to hold Republicans accountable for any of their policies.

19. I Can't Figure Out Why The President Doesn't Go There More Often But What About.......
all the other Dems in Congress? They all should be using this information everytime the deficit comes up. This is all documented. It's all there to see - yet I don't see them using this material when the rubber meets the road.

8. Yeah, that justifies the deficits....
Bush did it, so now its the Democrats turn to screw things up.

Seriously, the people that are still blaming Bush for all this look like idiots. Yes, he screwed us over with the wars and was a terrible president, but our economic situation was created by both Dems and Reps over the last 20-30 years. If the Democrats keep trying to blame Bush in 2012 it will backfire big time....say hello to President Palin.

11. Does anyone here doubt...
...that the Republicans have been intentionally indebting the American People, while pocketing the loot through oil (and other energy) and military products?

OK, so how do we get that message out the the rest of the American People? How about forwarding these charts to every newspaper, every Facebook friend, every mail contact, every day!!!

12. But that argument doesn't win the battle
It doesn't help to simply say the republicans are responsible for the debt if our reason is to say "so we're not going to fix it."

Some republicans will even agree with you when you point out that Bush created much of this debt, but they then come back and say "so let's work together to eliminate it." Then what do you say? No? I like this debt after all?

If you're going to use that argument you have to be prepared to be the most aggressive budget cutter, not defend the budget.

14. There is no incentive for Republicans to let a Democratic President and a Democratic Congress fix
yhe problem. They spent 2008-2010 obstructing every Democratic policy that tried to address the economic issues. The Republicans have created these deficits for one big reason - to kill any progressive agenda that Democrats may have. Create the deficits, blow up the tax structure and, viola!, we can't do anything except kill Social Security, Medicare, public schools, and every other program that makes life a little better for the bottom 98%.

Until all Americans understand the root causes of the structural problems and why they occurred, we'll see an uniformed electorate vote back Republicans into office, like they did in 2010.

18. the whole plan to me was to run up the debt and
screw entitlements. Because there is one thing a repuke hates is helping others who are in need. Now, I believe they wanted to "drown government in a bathtub"--just any government that would help fellow americans. Because by Little Boots and Darth Cheney's actions they sure love controlling the masses through law and fear. It's giving their greedy sociopathic partners free reign (deregulation) and handing them billions of no bid contracts and allowing wall street to basically rape and pillage. Yeah, I think it was a set up at the get go--not unintentional consequences.
