Look into it. It's good for you.

No need to thank me. Just don't mention it.

5. Make sure you sit around alone all day and night and stew and worry about it...it's AWESOME.
Come into DU on weekends as well and spend all of your time doing post after post about how everyone needs to vote out all of the dems in 2012, and run some magical mystery candidate that somehow shares every one of your political views, against the president in the primaries.

You'll be a real popular guy quickly on this message board.

6. simple pleasures are what make life worth living. The eaglets aren't my idea of
one, but I don't take pleasure in pissing on someone else's small delights.

Take a walk, watch a sunset. It's as good for you as a good dump, maybe better.

7. Caring about eaglets is the same as caring about the rest of the world.
Eaglets, people, wolves, polar bears, trees...the whole planet suffers from all manner of human dysfunction sourced in greed, hate, and fear.

Caring about one is part of caring about all.

8. welcome to DU
you know, when times are really horrible, and our world is falling apart, we NEED to look at things, events, people, whatever. . that make us smile, or take us out of ourselves for even a few minutes.

that doesn't mean we care any less about the horrible things, just means we all need a break.

10. I'll always care about such things.
Nothing man can do will detract from my love and appreciation of nature and the wonderful, fascinating world of animals.

In fact, the more man does stupid shit, the more I appreciate it.

13. Oh the crying, the gnashing of teeth
the rending of garments, the prophesying of the end of our nation and how disappointed people are in all of it. The lack of any explanation for this feeling but the true knowledge that it must be the sole fault of Obama.

It must be Monday on DU

Try lightening up. It may help you see ways otherwise undetectable by which you might save the world around you.

19. The eaglets represent why we have to continue to fight!
Do you think the TeaKKKLanners give a damn about other creatures? The environment? Clean air & water & sustainability? All they see are "resources" to be exploited, gunned down, plowed over. WE (Liberals, Democrats, Progressives, however you style yourself) are the ones who care about the earth and all creatures as a living, interconnected whole. It's easy to say, "I'm exhausted, there's no use fighting anymore, they're going to win". It's hard to keep fighting the good fight, over and over, without any sense of finally defeating the foe. But look at that pair of Eagles, working 24/7 to raise their babies against the odds, and know that without those of us still willing to fight for other species, and for the environment, they wouldn't have a chance. If you can't muster the will to fight for yourself any longer, fight for the eagles, and the whales, and the wolves, and the world they share with us but are powerless to protect.

Well, they could be fried but they wouldn't be fried eggs.
