Right now I'm reading "The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine" by Michael Lewis.
This book explains how the subprime financial sector 'worked' before the September 2008 crash.
Man, that these Wall Street gamblers (and that is exactly what they are) still have as much power and wealth and influence as they do (Geithner, Summers, Blankfein, Dimond, Bernanke, Rubin, etc.) --- well, we are doomed.
And the sad thing is that there are folks out there who think that things have changed with the new financial regulations law ... they haven't in any meaningful way.
Sorry, DU pollyannas who think that the 'recovery' is taking hold, the economy is a house of cards built on the shifting sand of financial instruments and leverage and magical QE money -- the real crash is yet to come.

but didn't. Guess it's back to Amazon.
Another book to read, the list is getting very, very long. If I didn't have a hearing problem books on tape would be great. I could clean and cook while listening.

or the library for this new feature they've implemented: the analog download using the Vehicular Transportation Network, or v-net for short. The analog download comes in a MULTI-PAGE-ONE-USE-KINDLE! it is the greatest thing I've ever seen.
