13. UPDATE: 2006 AG race won by 8,859 votes statewide, w/ 17,243 extra in Waukesha
BIG UPDATE!!
In this 2006 election, Van Hollen won the election for Attorney General with these numbers:

1,065,453 - Van Hollen (R)
1,056,594 - Falk (D)

A difference of 8,859 votes STATEWIDE.

Waukesha county, Kathy Nickolaus' playground, reports 17,243 more votes cast for the Attorney General race in Waukesha county than there were total number of ballots cast.

How many more of those "extra" 17,243 votes were for Van Hollen than were for Kathleen Falk?? I'm guessing it's somewhere right about 8,900 votes :P

Since that election, Van Hollen has become infamous for forging the WI Secretary of State's name on the appeal of the TRO against the WI anti-union bill and then getting fired as the SoS' legal representation as a result. He's Walker's man, through and through.

14. We have to flush this out a bit more.. Doyle won Wisconsin by 5% or so
Edited on Tue Apr-12-11 05:53 AM by Ellipsis
But Falk lost.. it was kinda given over that her gender and being from "Madison", played a roll in the the vote shift between her and Doyle. Polls showed about a 5% advantage for Doyle going into the 2006 election (as I remember). HIS win was fairly assured.

This info was published on these numbers in Jan. 08

The content of the report needs to be confirmed, she makes mistakes, ....as we know.

61. Cieran_WI - you asked when the clerk got her job?
I found this on the Brookfield Now local news site (you have to pay for the full article):

1.) County clerk reshapes office in 1st year
Newcomer fights to retain staff and expands public services

"Author: SCOTT WILLIAMS swilliams@journalsentinel.com, Journal Sentinel
Publication: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (WI)
Publish Date: November 14, 2003
Word Count: 770
Document ID: 0FED54F6EE135ADB

At a time when government elsewhere is retrenching and downsizing, Waukesha County's new county clerk is going against the grain.

Kathy Nickolaus, a newcomer to local politics, has marked her first year in office with a blizzard of ideas for expanding services in an office known for issuing marriage licenses and running elections.

She has renewed passport application services, made sample election ballots available on the Internet."

So it looks like her 1st year was 2003 or there about. Hope this helps.

So the 156k ballots cast number seems accurate, but the 5 races above 168k seem inflated.

36. I'm not sure about the others...
I worked on the Congressional race so I recognized it right away. But I'm reeling over the AG race. This changes the result. This is horrible. How many more things have happened that we don't know about?

I remember hearing that Sensenbrenner's district had the best turnout in the country and that my own district (Madison- Tammy Baldwin) was second. But it was weird because I never saw any GOTV in Sensenbrenner's district at all. Nobody going door to door. No canvassing, no lit drops, nothing. I assumed they did a lot of church rallys and robocalls and mailings.

Maybe GOTV is some kind of computer move to the GOP.

And the sudden increase in voter registrations. Have you ever registered voters? I have. It's a slow, difficult process -- getting people to stop and register.

Unless you are registering new citizens. They register very quickly because they are proud to be American and to vote in our elections.

Edited on Tue Apr-12-11 04:37 AM by Ellipsis
Narrow indeed: Unofficial tallies showed Van Hollen with 1,062,657 votes, or 50.2%, compared with 1,053,586 votes, or 49.8%, for Falk - a margin of 9,071 votes.

25. You mean, with the one report inferring 20,000 more votes, there is cause for inquiry
into why there is a discrepancy in the reporting. Not the same as proof there were 20,000 more votes reported than cast.

http://host.madison.com/wsj/news/local/govt-and-politics/blog/article_dcfb6712-6520-11e0-ba6b-001cc4c002e0.html

The Waukesha County Clerk will be responding to calls for her resignation on Tuesday afternoon, her office said.

County Clerk Kathy Nickolaus, who botched her count of last week's Wisconsin Supreme Court race, has faced a storm of criticism over her handling of the debacle.

The chairman of Waukesha County's Democratic Party has begun calling for Nickolaus to resign after the revelation that she had failed to include votes from all of Brookfield in the totals she reported to the Associated Press.

52. I'd question every election back to Nixon/Humphrey ... when these computers began to come in!!

Immediately two journalists in Florida became suspicious of the questionable

and unverifiable results being reported and began to investigate --

They wrote a book which was immediately removed from book store shelves --

but it's available here and there for $3 -- and you can also read it on the website --

Votesam -- The Stealing of America --

http://www.constitution.org/vote/votescam__.htm

Doubt there ever was a "Southern Strategy" -- probably only hackable computers!

Unfortunately, the Democratic Party is wholly disinterested in computers and stolen elections!!

34. K and R. Let's not forget to analyze voting results in other counties besides Waukesha.
It is easier to conceal small cases of fraud that are distributed around, than to hide one big example.

There were a lot of vote counting irregularities in Florida beyond the "hanging chads" in Dade county.

Keep digging!

43. Agreed. We need a full, statewide hand-recount of the paper ballots.
But we need everyone to write the JoKlo campaign to tell them to do it statewide and that we'll support it financially if they go for a statewide, hand-recount. Waukesha may just be the magician's slight of hand.
