1. The details of the budget deal that are now coming out....
really show that Obama got the best of the repubs....repubs caved on issue after issue....I saw a segment on CNN last night detailing how the repubs caved on many things in a big way on issue after issue....and now there are some good reporting on this....the liberal world assumes that because there was a deal made, Obama caved without providing any facts.....

2. You can't be serious
Rs wanted 100 billion in cuts. They got 78.5. How in the blue hell is that a victory?

Plus, you're accepting the framing that this effort will decrease our debt. It will not: this will not even pay us back for extending the Bush tax cuts (which Obama also caved on).

3. The Icon defenders don't care
So the Republicans asked for 80 terrible cuts and 20 totally outrageous, criminal cuts, and obama only gave them the 80 terrible cuts. This counts as a victory in their eyes.

4. Great cartoon
I really don't understand it. I used to think Dems and liberals evaluated policy issues based on their utility for the country. Instead, so many supposed "underground" Democrats reflexively defend everything he does and justify every cave-in he makes. I used to think only Rs were the kinds of people that put hero worship over policy, but it seems like that might be the legacy of the Bush era: each party just blindly follows their President when he's in office.
