According to a notice in today's paper, http://www.greeleytribune.com/article/20110412/NEWS/704129997/1051&ParentProfile=1001 , former AG Johh Ashcroft will be guest speaker at an upcoming prayer breakfast. Well and good. But the little biographical squib seems just a trifle shy of a bid for canonization:

Ashcroft, a former governor and U.S. Senator from Missouri, was attorney general who led the U.S. Department of Justice through the transformational period after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorism attacks, reorganizing the department to focus on terrorism. He directed an anti-terrorism campaign that resulted in the dismantling of terrorist cells across the America and disrupting more than 150 terrorist plots worldwide.


Meanwhile, on another page, an article about an upcoming public lecture by Angela Davis is drawing hyperbolic vitriol in the comments section http://www.greeleytribune.com/article/20110412/NEWS/704129995&parentprofile= .





If coexistence were a class, a lot of folks would flunk.
