Kloppenburg for Justice -- What's Next |
|
Edited on Tue Apr-12-11 07:35 PM by Pharaoh
Dear Friends,
Your support, your enthusiasm and your energy made our campaign successful.
We continue to need your help.
Over the past days, County Officials have been canvassing election results. We have filed an open records request with the Waukesha County Clerk and we are gathering information about what happened in that County where 14,000 votes from the entire city of Brookfield were missed.
In light of all this, we need to be prepared for the possibility there will be a recount.
Wisconsin law allows for Committees to raise funds to prepare for a possible recount and to participate in any recount. Your contribution will help ensure that we have the resources that we need to prepare for and participate vigorously in a possible recount. Please visit our website, www.kloppenburgforjustice.com, and make a contribution today. Individuals and organizations are not limited in the amount they can contribute. Corporate contributions are prohibited.
Thank you again for all you have done, for all you are doing and for joining together in this historic campaign.
Sincerely,
Melissa Mulliken Campaign Manager The Kloppenburg for Justice Committee

4. I do hope the Kloppenburg campaign asks for a recount.. |
|
...even if it doesn't change the final result. Recounts are good, they serve to keep the system more honest than it otherwise would be.
If election officials everywhere know their systems and work will be picked over and double checked, they are more likely to be on their toes and keep things running properly.

actually came out on the 8th.
I am just posting it to DU now because we need your support.
This is crucial to have a fair count on this.
Or were all fucked.
