Calling old time DU'ers. I need help remembering Andy's last name

we need to remember again and again what happened in 2000. I just call it a coup these days with the way the special interest dollars now roll freely into DC, even MORE than before - We've had crumbs thrown our way for sure but what they do give us has no real impact on the corporate $$ in DC. What they take from us is breaking the country.

here in the way back machine. I call, 2000 a coup and rec'ed Hacking Democracy but had one of those moments when the name was on the tip of my tongue and couldnt spit it out!! LOL.

Currently discussing politics with moderate/indies that are Ivy league-rs. Heck one taught at Harvard in the 80's! (very different than libertarians OR common Repugs).

There is however Conservatives there too, that are not radical t-hadists. (Do not value the CON, rather they are the conservatives of old. Many do not know where they belong anymore)

These folks want sensible social policy (UI, universal health, money for public education, equal rights, support the DREAM Act, Repealing of DADT etc - what we want here. They are often older and consider themselves conservative for very dif reasons than a CONServative.) They also want sensible spending - reducing the size of defense etc. While making sure the money that is spent in defense is done so wisely.

These folks do support our President.

I thought it was important they knew about/watched the documentary.
