Can somebody explain to me why congress is waiting until the last minute AGAIN? |
|
CR runs out on Thursday right?
Why isn't there more tension? Why wasn't there a scramble to work out the detailed agreement sooner?

1. It's drama-choreographed like the TV programming that programs Americans. |

(Cue ominous music.)

As proven time and again, this Congress is in the business of NOT doing business. They have no interest in actually running an efficient government. It's alllll about the drama.I've never in my life seen such a disjointed, self-agrandizing, self-serving, punk filled, out of touch DELUSIONAL Congress.

3. If they don't paint themselves into a corner, they won't have a good excuse for when they cave. |
|
They're not totally stupid... they know enough to try and blame someone else besides themselves for their conservadem policy enactment.

4. The paralyzing fear of having to take a stand for or against something. |

Total stab, but that's what it looks like.

7. Job security. We shouldn't allow them to do the same job more than once, they've |
|
been doing the same job for a great number of decades now, it should be done. Why isn't it. They should all punch out and go home.

12. We reelect most of them for a lifetime career, so it's pretty much our |
|
fault.
Every two years there is a wonderful opportunity to get rid of all of one group and one third of the other, but we won't.

8. To make it a "crisis" so they can act to gut government. |

This is classic shock doctrine. Create the crisis and then respond with severe measures while the public stays confused over the issues.

A game and a deadly one at that these days. People live or die based on this bullshit.

10. If the last congress had done what they were paid to do, the budget would |
|
have been done prior to October 1, the start of the fiscal year.
But they didn't. And the dems had the WH, the Senate, and the House at that time. But they thought budget arguments would hinder reelection efforts.
After the Nov elections, when many had lost, there was still time to work on a budget. But they didn't. And the dems still had the WH, the Senate, and the House - and budget arguments would not have hindered anything.
When the new crop came in, they started on the budget that was due several months earlier.
Now, there is another budget due in Oct., and one wonders how this one will be screwed up.

11. It works like this... |
|
we now live in a "crisis" oriented society.
Unless there is a "crisis" nothing "gets done". And what I mean by "gets done" I mean that there would be no drama. And when I mean "drama", I mean there would be no justifiable reason to elect many of the halfwits into office.
If we had a government that actually did it's job timely with conviction, it would be boring and no one would pay attention. And when I say "pay attention" I mean justify many of these halfwits false sense of importance and overly inflated ego.
So everything has to be a "crisis" for them to justify their jobs and their sense of personal worth.
See?
This is why I call our government, time and again, nothing more than insane kabuki theater of the absurd.
