A person with knowledge of the investigation says federal authorities have opened a criminal probe of Delaware Republican Christine O'Donnell to determine if the former Senate candidate broke the law by using campaign money to pay personal expenses.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity to protect the identity of a client who has been questioned in the probe. The case, which has been assigned to two federal prosecutors and two FBI agents in Delaware, has not been sent to a grand jury.

O'Donnell, who set a state record by raising more than $7.3 million in a tea party-fueled campaign this year, has been dogged by questions about her finances.

Since Karl Rove can't stand her she had no shot of being hired by Faux News (and after the election they confirmed she would not be hired). Palin wouldn't even leave a football game in New Jersey to come to the rally that O'Donnell organized and promised that Palin would be there. And even the Tea Party leaders mentioned her by name when they talked about finding better candidates then some of the nuts that had run.

Oh, and the DEGOP is part of the group investigating her. They are absolutely PISSED that they had an easy win with the US Senate seat and instead had a nightmare election season in 2010. You wouldn't have thought there was some GOP 2010 'shellacking' with they way the results turned out in Delaware. Had Mike Castle been on top of the ticket they may have not lost as many state seats or the Treasurer office.

O'Donnell won't serve any jail time but if they can just keep her from running for office again that would make me happy. Yes I know she's a sure win for the democrats but she's just so fricking ANNOYING!
