The speech was carrots for the bunnies.
I want him to prove me wrong but waiting for two years is too much of a ploy for re-election for me. He has had two years to make changes that really matters. I already gave him my vote and what has he done with it. He gave the rich tax breaks and cuts the LIHEAP in half. Fool me once.....

big cuts in SS and Medicare were wrong.

It did not happen.

So rather than accept that, the outrage machine simply moves on.

10. Here ya go
Rabbits are small mammals in the family Leporidae of the order Lagomorpha, found in several parts of the world. There are eight different genera in the family classified as rabbits, including the European rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus), cottontail rabbits (genus Sylvilagus; 13 species), and the Amami rabbit (Pentalagus furnessi, an endangered species on Amami Ōshima, Japan). There are many other species of rabbit, and these, along with pikas and hares, make up the order Lagomorpha. The male is called a buck and the female is a doe; a young rabbit is a kitten or kit.

They like carrots.

6. You aren't stating facts
The tax breaks for the rich were enacted under Bush II with Greenspan testifying before Congress that these breaks were great!

If you listened to Obama's speech, Obama was saying that the richest are paying less than anytime during the last 50 years and should pay more.

9. But Obama said this before. He campaigned on it
He can't spend 4 years complaining about tax cuts that he and his party could have already dealt with by letting expire.

He can't go back out there an 're-educate' his followers about rich people having too much money.
Everybody already gets that!
That's why he was elected

13. Oh really?
WASHINGTON -- Less than two months after signing tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans into law, President Barack Obama proposed a spending plan to Congress that cuts funding to programs that assist the working poor, help the needy heat their homes, and expand access to graduate-level education, undermining the kind of community-based organizations that helped Obama launch his political career in Chicago.

73. and you're cherrypicking facts to divert blame from the FACT that Obama
gave the wealthy another two years of tax breaks. Regardless of who *started* it -- HE continues it.

And even in his speech he's finagling yet again -- because not once did he state that he would get rid of those tax breaks before the next election.

So he's once again dangling carrots to the American public - hoping they won't remember the FACT that HE extended the tax breaks for the wealthy by another 2 years.

8. Fool you twice have fun with President Bachman or President Rommey
Look, not saying you MUST vote for Obama - we have a primary, that's the chance to give our 'thumbs-up' or 'thumbs-down'.

But when the primary is done, if Obama is still our candidate then I'm there 100%. And if someone else wins the primary for the democrats I'm there for them outside of some strange fluke like Sarah Palin or Donald Trump running as a democrat in the primaries.

tax cuts to middle class and unemployment benefit extensions? I guess I could have done without my tax cut, but I'm sure there are many families who are really grateful for theirs (and for the unemployment insurance).

52. No, I wouldn't I never wanted them passed, suggested they be rescinded before the sunset,
and still want them gone. I don't know what is so complicated about not being able to afford them, the bulk of the benefit goes to those that don't need them at all (aka top 20%, top 2% or not), and them providing an incentive for those with surplus resources to pocket the money instead of reinvesting into the economy.

The tax cuts are shitty policy. The only tax relief that makes any sense would be targeted to the bottom 20-40% to stimulate some demand AND be offset by further increases on top earners.

These tax cuts are plain old stupid and act as an anchor on the entire economy plus they ramp up the greedy to do all the shady and stupid things they have been up to for the last ten years because they are deep, deep, deep in the kid in a candy store factor. They are looting the country and these rates just foster avarice.

Nope, you are spinning. Many of us have been very consistent on this and it doesn't have a thing to do with the President because it would be garbage policy regardless of Donald Duck, Buddha, George Washington, Bush, Hillary Clinton, McShame, Kucinich, Huey Long, Ronald Reagan, or Jesus Christ was in charge.

Come on man, you are talking to a population of people who were always against this shrink the pig scam. I have no idea why you think folks want these cuts and are just trying to spit in Obama's eye other than projecting your own desire to keep these cuts (no matter the cost to the future or the present of critical programs and investment).
