"Economics of Happiness" - Excellent Documentary
This documentary is not to be missed by anyone at DU - and beyond!! There was a screening of it in Milwaukee last night to almost a full house. What an excellent movie. It is heartbreaking but also motivating. The documentary explores what globalization is and why it has been so damaging. Further, it proposes that we make changes, to live, deliberately, a community focused life. There is much more to it, and the film is very well done. I am really recommending it to you. I do think that we can withdraw, somewhat, from our dependency on the very corporations that are working against us and the health of the earth. We can go elsewhere. I think that we can make changes so that we can live a more integrated life, that is, a life that has integrity in which we do what we believe is right; we buy in support of companies we agree with; we use our resources in a way that benefits the communities we are in; we withhold support from corporations that seek to defeat or silence us. I hope that you will go out of your way to watch this documentary. I think you will find it meaningful.
