My favorite part of the speech was that Biden is going to be in charge of the budget committee.

Not that there needs to be another commission, committee or whatever you want to call it -

I just can't imagine Biden putting up with the republican's tantrums. He's got a bunch of grandkids - he knows how to make them behave.

1. And Biden knows how to work the Senate. He's got long-established relationships,

with the "old guys" anyway, and I agree that he'll tolerate no fools. He's pragmatic but has his strength of convictions, and we know while in the Senate, he was the second "poorest" among them which indicates to me a life dedicated to public service rather than as a means to riches.

I always feel Better when Biden has a hand in something.

:hi:

ETA: Not sure I agree with him being able to make his grandkids behave -- I've no doubt they've got him wrapped around their fingers. :7

2. Yahoo News has a headline that Biden fell asleep during speech ...
... if true, he's apparently not too excited about heading up the "committee". Or he already knows what they're going to 'decide'.

5. Or maybe he was just really really tired.

That's happened to me before, in the worst circumstances. I empathize.

6. I'm not as old as Mr Biden
but I do find, increasingly, that if I am watching/listening to something which requires high focus, I close my eyes in order to better visualize the content.

I would say that Mr Biden is guilty of nothing more than focusing.

10. There is a picture of him looking down during one of Bush's SOTU and people
said he was sleeping. I'm sure that's what it was.

The msm likes to give Biden alot of crap.

8. If true it would be because he already knew what was going to be said
I seriously doubt that its true that he fell asleep though. In fact if I was a betting man I'd bet he didn't.

9. So it was ok for Reagan to sleep in very important meetings
but not for Biden to sleep during a speech that he was not giving?
