Fireworks expected as Gov. Walker heads to Hill to talk unions
By Kevin Bogardus - 04/14/11 06:07 AM ET

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) could be in for a rowdy welcome from unions and liberal groups when he comes to Capitol Hill on Thursday to testify about his work on reducing the state’s budget deficit.

A coalition of liberal groups including People for the American Way, Common Cause and Public Campaign is scheduled to give a press conference outside the hearing room before Walker testifies, and union members are traveling in from Wisconsin to attend.

Walker’s appearance before Congress will be his first since his standoff with public-sector unions over collective bargaining rights began earlier this year.

1. "Reducing the state's budget deficit" ?????
Ummmm, do you think he'll point out that his budget is actually 1% LARGER than the previous budget?

Do you think that he'll point out that he gave $140 Million in tax breaks to his wealthiest donors in his first week in office, and how that revenue loss is being made up on the backs of the lowest paid State employees?

Do you think he'll point out that he deferred maintenance on the State's bridges, highways and other infrastructure to get his budget to balance? That he refinanced debt, "kicking the can down the road" as he said he would never do?

His approach to budgeting is to give more and more to his friends, while robbing those that he disdains. He's a thief, a con-man. Nothing more.

Let him get is 15 minutes. He'll be recalled in January.

2. why does this criminal get an audience with congress?
he is doing nothing to improve his state or america.
we need to protest his appearance by calling our own congress people and insisting they boycott walker's testimony.
he is a confirmed liar and has demonstrated that he does not work for those who elected him.
he should not be viewed as a model.
