Poll: Floridians Have Strong Buyers Remorse After Electing GOP Gov. Scott
Only three months removed from Governor Rick Scott's (R) inauguration, a majority of Florida voters now say the state is headed in the wrong direction and that, if they could do it all over again, they wouldn't have elected Scott in the first place, according to a new Suffolk University poll.

In the poll, 54% of voters said the state was headed in the wrong direction, compared to 30% who said it was going the right way. Further, just under half (49%) of all voters said they disapproved of Scott's job performance, versus only 28% who said they approved.

Scott's approval rating is so bad that the poll found him losing a hypothetical do-over election to Democrat Alex Sink by a ten-point margin, 41% to 31%.

9. He hasn't been Governor.
And, I believe he CAN run again as a Representative or...maybe even...as a Senator.

Or President.

He's definitely on my short list.

15. I keep getting e-mails from him, so it doesn't appear that he's washed his hands
of politics. I may be reading into it, but that's what I'm hoping they mean anyway. :hi:

11. timtom thinks so, I don't see why not -- but I'm not up on the rules and regs.
I'd love to get him back -- we need his voice.

With the disenchanted climate in FL, maybe they'd be ready for a Governor Grayson. :7 I'd be happy with whatever position he chose.

7. Dementia is on the march in God's Waiting Room. Sigh...
I remember Glenn Beck was a big hit down there too. Sad.

12. Damn. I was just 'conversing' that maybe Grayson would like to take a run
at Gov, but if the Tea Party rules, they'd sure as hell not let Grayson in. :(

5. They should have paid attention before.
This guy's shady past was not exactly a secret, and it should have given them a hint as to what kind of governor he'd be.

6. Great news. But we're still stuck with him
for four years, unless he gets arrested (always a possibility). Perhaps these voters should have paid some attention BEFORE the election. Instead, they just voted against Alex Sink, 'cause she's part of the Black guy in the White House's party.

I've lived in FL for 17 years, through the craziness of the Clinton years with the black helicopters and UN secret messages on the backs of Stop signs. But the hatred for President Obama that I read in LTEs in my local rag go beyond disgusting. And, what Scott and his cronies will do to this state will take decades to reverse.

Scott never hid his positions and his background was out there for everyone to see. Anyone who voted for him should have known exactly what they were voting for. If they didn't, shame on them. The entire state will suffer for their foolishness.

10. Y'know, we always hear this stuff AFTER they have been elected,
and people complain & complain, and then oftentimes, they re-elect the fool.. (see Calif)

13. A lot was written/said about Scott before the election, they just chose not to
listen or ignore the facts.

I feel for those who fought against him, but am reveling that those who supported him are suffering. Hate to admit I'm that petty and vindictive, but I am.

16. yep.. everyone had an opportunity to know a lot about him
Edited on Thu Apr-14-11 01:18 PM by SoCalDem
maybe the strobe effect of sunlight pulsating from that big ole shiny dome of his mesmerized them:)

people who chose him & complain, have no one to blame but themselves..'I;ve just about come to the conclusion that we are probably ungovernable these days..no matter what gets proposed/passed or no matter who wins/loses, there will be 50% who are against & 50% who are in favor, and a media that loves to pour salt into every political wound they can find..

17. Sadly, you may have hit the nail on the head. We're at war with each other. With our
neighbors and co-workers. Heartbreaking.
