Perfect: Trump to make 2012 announcement on season finale of "The Apprentice"
Ever since Donald Trump began soaking up media attention around his possible 2012 presidential run, he's faced plenty of detractors claiming that he's simply using all the 2012 speculation to shore up his celebrity brand.

The latest turn in the Trump political saga isn't exactly going to silence that line of criticism.

The real estate mogul has chosen the season finale of his NBC reality show, "The Apprentice" as the venue for announcing his presidential decision, Newsmax reported late Wednesday. The show is set to air May 15. Newsmax reports that Trump will announce plans to hold a press conference to announce his candidacy in the Trump Tower in New York "a few days after" the finale.

Trump had previously stated he would wait until June to make a final decision about about a
presidential campaign.

10. Plus one billion.
That's all he is, with a bad haircut (or wig) and a bunch of hot air.

5. Obama's reelection chances just increased
I think Trump has the potential to suck all the oxygen out of the Rethuglican tent. Also, he will bring up issues that the party establishment want buried; he can't stay on message; and he won't follow orders.

He will create havoc with the fascist Rethuglican election machine.

11. The Tea baggers will love him.
Some very smart Republicans, whose opinions on finance I read, are also thrilled that Trump might run.

Duh oh...

6. He knows when the fame firecracker is going to fizzle
Might as well milk it for every last ounce, because he knows that NBC will slaveringly cover it, and the rest of the popular media will pant along after them, cursing the day they didn't sign Trump for some lame-ass show.

**SPOILER ALERT** Click and drag your mouse over the space below if you want to know how this all turns out:

Trump will announce, regretfully and with a manly catch in his voice, that he has considered all the angles of a run for the presidency, and has reluctantly decided that he can't put his present family through such an ordeal. It will be limned as the country's loss, but for the good of those closest to him, Trump will have to forego running for president. The real reason? He'd have to file a financial disclosure form, and he doesn't want to commit his wheelings and dealings to paper, much less open his tangled financial life to public scrutiny.

In any event, I would not advise tuning in unless you're the type who listens to police scanners and sets out with camera in hand to record the most gruesome and grisly accidents and crime scenes.

13. Anyone know if there is some kind of FEC violation if he does announce?
It would seem, to me, that the airtime used to announce an ExpCo would be an in-kind contribution by KableTown.

14. Setting Up The Fishes...
This has all been one big PR stunt to draw ratings to his putrid waste of electrons. Damn right he's gonna do a "JR moment" or maybe he'll wake up in bed next to Suzanne Pleshette?? Just like the con man he is...he's got his mark all set and gonna use 'em and throw 'em away. No matter how big his own-blown ego, Trump is playing the sheeple for fools and he's gonna cash in. And the corporate media (especially GENBC...that is as desperate for the ratings as Trump is) are all along for the ride...
