In short, it's all a lie. These guys lie openly, deliberately and with premeditation.
Who can deal with these sick people in an honest manner under these circumstances?
Should people like these be in positions of responsibility at all?

1. Until we all agree that lying is not a 1st Amendment Right
I don't see that we can do anything about this.

2. Well if it involves your job, then isn't that a little different?
I mean, if you act under false pretenses to be actually governing but actually not doing your job and lying about policy that directly hurts your constituatency...isn't that more then just him using his 'right of free speech'?

Do we not punish people that yell 'fire' in a crowded theater?

4. I think we agree.
But I've been in several arguments at this site where the opposing view -- that all lying is fair game and should never be punished -- was advanced.

National suicide, if you ask me.

5. National suicide is right. Ever since Nixon and Reagan, the numbers
of corrupt politicians holding high office are growing by leaps and bounds.
Pathological liars and criminals have found their home in these enviornments,
where lying publicly has become the norm.

Can we expect anything good from organizations where too many Al Capones
are the leaders?

Yes, we are heading towards national suicide -- slowly but surely.

3. They never said it was about the state, it was always about the counties and municipalities.
Our mayor isn't happy with the deal our govt workers negotiated with the Governor but he is stuck with it. I don't understand why our side just does not get it.

6. Govt workers negotiated away their right to
bargain? Kucinich asked the Governor if his union busting clause in the budget bill would contribute to lowering the state's debt and by how much. He tried to wiggle out of the question, but Kucinich would not allow it and he ended up admitting it would contribute nothing to lowering the debt.

Great questioning by Kucinich leaving Walker with no way out of telling the truth for once.

And it's quite possible that the Governor will have to renegotiate with workers to whom he lied initially in order to get the deal he got.

Now that the people have the facts, I think it is necessary that the whole bill be tossed and new negotiations take place, where taxes on the wealthy are included and the workers take no cuts at all.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say. Could you clarify a little please?

9. I'm not to sure I understand what you are saying here.
My understanding is that this whole thing was about, ostensibly at least, lowering the State deficit.

7. This is just.... &^#!(^*#@!$
I know I'm not suppose to be wowed by the blatant lies, but how in the hell do they get away with it?

Kucinich or some others should pursue this further and nail Walkers ass for the lying sack of shit he is!! That combined with the cronyism and other false statements he's made.

Keep the damn fire under this thing.

K&R!!

13. "Keep the damn fire under this thing." That's one of the best ways
to succeed at anything. The Repubs. sure do make use of it -- and they are
so successful, even with their most transparent lies. They keep on repeating
and repeating, and a lot of gullible people begin to believe them. Dems. ought
to do even better with the truth, but are they doing it?

And a hearty welcome to this forum, Goodnews!

19. Thank you. For some reason the democrats
don't blast this thing. At every turn and on every issue the Repukes are wrong, their ideology the completely without merit. Whenever they open their mouths they should have the truth shoved in their face until they sit down STFU or leave.

From now on if I ever hear a repuklican open his mouth with an ideological statement I am going to make it my duty to shut him/her up. I did it the other day as I have in the past, but from now on I am fighting them wherever I see em.

11. Maybe I'm seeing things but Walker looked pretty
stressed at the hearings. I sure hope this is wearing on him. I want to see these turds sweat wherever and whenever.

10. This is why I don't get people saying recall, vote 2012, courts, all that
These people are psychopaths. They do not care about your votes. They do not care about your laws. They laugh at your attempts to play nice and negotiate and compromise. They have rigged the system. They will cheat as much as they can, and most of the time they will win.

I guess we have to be starving in the streets before people will accept that and do something about it?

12. I think you are correct. Psychopaths make up between 2% and 4% of the general population,
but you'll probably find them overly represented (way, way more than 4%) among
corporate execs. and politicians, because these positions are where the money
and the power are found. Sociopaths are attracted to them like flies are
attracted to feces.

17. That slice was way back when
I knew Dr. Bob Hare way back when. Almost 40 years ago it was estimated that 2% of the pop was psychopathic. However, at that time it was customary to only include the criminal few in the stats. In other words, successful psychopaths were not being counted in the stats. The stats were therefore wrong. Those who believe psychopathy only characterizes the 2%, the criminal dregs, are fooling themselves. The biggest tranche is at the top of the pyramid. I currently use the figure 10% as a crude guess, ie., that over all cultures, about 10% of human beings manifest behavior that could sensibly called "psychopathic".

14. I loved all the Democrats' pointed questioning!
So glad they were ready for Walker's lies!

That's how I've wanted more Democratic legislators to behave all along. I hope they keep it up.

15. The Dems were great -- Kucinich, in particular. He does
remind me somewhat of Truman. When Dems were telling him to "Give them hell, Harry!"
Truman's reply was " I don't need to give them hell. All I have to tell is the truth,
and they think it's hell."

I repeat again, Neocons respond to only 3 things: 1. Money. 2. Power. 3. Fear of
punishment. When you treat them with kidgloves, they only laugh at you. Give them an
inch and they'll take a mile. But when they get punished for transgressions, that's
when they begin to become afraid, and they give in.

Have you noticed how much intimidation Neocons use in order to fool their people? They
use fear and intimindation because these are what they, themselves, respond to more
readily.

Obama has a lot to learn about sociopaths. He should consult with mental healthp professionals on how to deal with sociopaths.
