Cesium in Hawaii milk
Edited on Fri Apr-15-11 07:12 PM by nadinbrzezinski
Milk… iodine-131… EPA maximum contaminant level is 3.0 , but this is a conservative standard designed to minimize exposure over a lifetime, so EPA does not consider these levels to pose a health threat.

Cesium-137… milk… falls under the same 3.0 standard.

And let me add this

Radiation Detected In Drinking Water In 13 More US Cities, Cesium-137 In Vermont Milk

• Milk Contamination At EPA Maximum

• Highest Levels Yet In Boise Rainwater

Radiation from Japan has been detected in drinking water in 13 more American cities, and cesium-137 has been found in American milk—in Montpelier, Vermont—for the first time since the Japan nuclear disaster began, according to data released by the Environmental Protection Agency late Friday.

Milk samples from Phoenix and Los Angeles contained iodine-131 at levels roughly equal to the maximum contaminant level permitted by EPA, the data shows. The Phoenix sample contained 3.2 picoCuries per liter of iodine-131. The Los Angeles sample contained 2.9. The EPA maximum contaminant level is 3.0, but this is a conservative standard designed to minimize exposure over a lifetime, so EPA does not consider these levels to pose a health threat.

7. For sure
But each link I clicked on and read, I have not read anywhere in the MSM.

I feel like I need to send them this page, seeing as how they don't seem able to do their job.

16. Fortunately, most of them are total bullshit.
Claims about 200,000 dead, radioactive clouds from Texas to Canada--all provably false.

5. Useful to include the FDA limits as well.
They help back up your point (that the EPA limit is designed to be safe over a lifetime of exposure). The FDA guideline is set to a level that tells them when they need to take action.

It's thousands of times higher IIRC.

6. "All is well! Please maintain the integrity of the line. All is well!"
Nevermind that giant nuclear catastrophe over in Japan that has international health and environmental consequences. Here, have another round of Nancy Grace. Hey look over there - it's Dancing With The Stars!

Thanks for all you do Nadin. It's important and I'm glad some are out there getting this information to light, despite the best efforts of some to suppress it.

8. You welcome....
I could make a reference to gerbils, and bunnies, but I discovered, accidentally mind you, that this is a nuclear industry joke. No wonder it felt personal So no more bouncy bunnies from me. It could be, strictly, be seen as a personal attack or call out.

14. Thanks for adding the second link, it is readable. Do I have this right, what he is saying?...
Edited on Fri Apr-15-11 07:36 PM by uppityperson
Cesium has shown up in milk, but below the "health threat" standard. I-131 has shown up all over and was above the level in rain in the testing places shown, but is below "health threat" level in drinking water. And the 3.0 "health threat" is a conservative standard.

Is this right? We knew I-131 would show up all over, having cesium now show means what? Melt down has occurred?

Thanks for the links. Off to watch "realtime" tweets, etc on google about the tornadoes in the southeast

15. both show fision is still ongoing
I am keeping my eye on Iodine. Half life is eight days... it has been somewhat stable, which means there is still fission ongoing. At least that is what I got from Gunderson last time around.

Cesium was also going to show all over the place, and like it's cousin Strontium it has a far longer half life. Cesium in decades, Strontium even longer.

21. Ooooohhhhh, the nukelur scientists are going pillory you on that one Nadine.
Everyone knows radioactive iodine, cesium and strontium are spontaneously created in the environment.... of highly radioactive nuclear fuel.

But still, why do we have to be so DraMatic! This shit's going to kill us over centuries, not tomorrow.

I have been assured that, if we just STFU and put our heads down, it will all go away. Personally, a big fat check would be more convincing.
