Tin foil hat time! By by statehood, hello corporate owned states!
:tinfoilhat: (ahhh, feels good, I haven't done one of these in a while)

So, it appears as if asshole scott walker is following the lead of Michigan gov rick snyder of wanting to take over local municipalities that he deems, in essence, a financial liability.

Okay, this is the toil foil hat part.

While it certainly does appear that there is a concerted effort via corporations (koch brothers) via their sock puppet repuke governors, to do away with Unions, but suppose there is a larger plan here. That would be to secede economically from the union.

If they declare these "financial martial law"(to barrow a phrase from another post) type declarations, doesn't that make them, basically autonomous to US law? Basically creating their own little corporate states within the union?

Are we witness to the whole sale buying up of whole states? Is it any wonder why they want to dismantle social safety nets? They are nothing but overhead to the corps and the ultra wealthy. Can't have those things when you own the state. See what I'm driving at?

To paraphrase a quote, "the wealthy should not get so rich as they then can buy nations".

What say you?

2. I don't think it needs to be a big conspiracy to think that corporations want state-like power here.
I think your line of thinking is very healthy and rational.

7. Walker, Snyder, Scott and the others are "corporate raiders"
And corporate raiders have to be heartless assholes- that's why these vile men were chosen as the figureheads for the hostile takeovers of our states.

They are doing exactly what corporate raiders do, stripping away every asset they can take and feeling quite pleased with themselves while doing it. When they are finished, there will be very little left of our states.

They know the federal government won't step in. As long as they have control of all branches of state government, they can openly pillage and steal- and really rub our faces in it.
