Whirlpool Corporation, and the golf course and luxury home development that will be taking over Benton Harbor's beachfront park -- which will be called Harbor Shores. And which will charge families $5,000 a year to use the golf course. In a town whose mostly African-American population has a per capita income of little more than $10,000 a year.

The legislator involved, who was directly involved in the golf course development, replied to the Maddow show with a written comment about capital flowing to places where there's stability.

:grr:

Anyway, there's no doubt at all that this law was implemented first to steal that lovely beach and park (a gift to the city of Benton Harbor from a former mayor who made it clear the park was intended for the city's children) for the wealthy and the developers.

5. Big rec......
"Financial Martial Law" sums this move up accurately. 'Emergency powers" is now code for "power-grab".

8. This is the line in the sand
that proves the whole tea party movement is bullshit.

They name the movement after a protest against taxation without representation and drone on about less government and local control but, when all these principles that they are supposedly fighting for, are all wrapped up in one issue we hear nothing but crickets from them.

This just proves that the whole movement is fake astroturf and are not, at all, interested in ANY of the principles that they constantly spout off at the mouth about.
