Anybody watched the movie "Brothers"?

Last night, I watched the movie "Brothers" with Jake Gyllenhaal , Tobey Maguire, and Natalie Portman. It was very riveting and powerful. I admit to seeing the original Danish version that came out a couple of years before that but this was a pretty good version. It truly brings home the point of those servicemen and servicewomen who go through PTSD and the impact it has on their families. This should be a required movie to see for those generals who give out the orders to deploy. Plus, this should send a message that more needs to be done to help our troops cope with trauma and mental issues.

But, do you really think that showing it to those who issue deployment orders, will make a difference?

2. Maybe not but worth a shot!

I think the point is that these people, many of them, need help when they come back. There have been cases of divorces, spousal abuse, child abuse, murder, rape, drug, and alcohol use among a lot of Iraq and Afghan War vets. They clearly need comprehensive counseling and help. They should not ask for it, they should get regardless.
