Biden: Republicans 'Totally Out Of The Closet' With Plan To End Medicare
http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2011/04/biden-republicans-totally-out-of-thie-closet-with-plan-to-end-medicare.php

At a fundraiser for Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) in Cleveland on Tuesday, Vice President Joe Biden used a colorful metaphor to describe Republicans' forthrightness about their plans to cut and phase out entitlements.

"This is not your father's Republican Party," he said. "The Republicans this time are totally, and I don't mean this in a pejorative sense, are out of the closet. They are laying out for the
first time what they are for and how they think they are going to deal with the problem. That's a debate I can hardly wait for - hopefully with Donald Trump."

Speaking extemporaneously to a group of Democratic donors and Brown supporters, Biden explained that Democrats are grateful that Republicans have laid out their controversial plans so clearly.

1. Frankly, in the republican's playbook, the US does not need people. People are
an inconvenience. Their goal is to murder off seniors via ultra-expensive healthcare and slaughtering social security. That will reduce that headcount and get that out of the way, problem solved.

And starving off the poor, homeless and unemployed will continue too. Then, their buddies will make indentured servants of those remaining, tethered to working for slave wages and buying at the company store.

That, IMO, is the future republicans want for the US. They will secure themselves behind gated communities and roving security forces. That, is the apocalyptic future envisioned for most Americans by the GOP IMO.

How much more evidence is needed of their intent.

3. No more evidence needed,it's become self evident.

One just needs to listen to what the are saying.I personally have watched them over the last couple decades ridicule every person in this country except the ultra-rich,at one time or the other.

The problem is a lot of people don't think they're the the ones being targeted, when in reality they have a big bullseye on their backs. One example is that when they claim the American worker is lazy and overpaid many people think they are talking about the lazy co-worker on the job,or the guy next door who has a nicer car than they do.

2. Well when you extend tax cuts for the rich and people like me pay more taxes than GE does....
The cuts have to come from somewhere but anywhere except the military.

4. I made less money this year than in the past twenty, but paid more taxes than GE.
And that, my friends, is bullshit.

5. the real question is whether Democrats will effectively oppose them, make only a token effort
or cut the chase and back the gutting of SS.
