Former Tea Party Senate Candidate Denies She Used Campaign Funds for Personal Use

By LEE FERRAN and DEVIN DWYER

Former Tea Party Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell defended herself today against a report that the federal government was investigating her for misuse of campaign funds, saying the investigation was politically motivated.

...................................................................

The Associated Press reported Wednesday that O'Donnell was under federal investigation for using campaign funds for personal expenses. The criminal probe is being conducted by two federal prosecutors and two FBI agents, an anonymous source told the AP. The matter has yet to be referred to a grand jury.

...............................................................

Former O'Donnell campaign manager Kristin Murray said in a robocall taped for the Delaware Republican Party during the primary that O'Donnell used 2008 campaign funds for personal reasons.

"As O'Donnell's manager, I found out she was living on campaign donations; using them for rent and personal expenses, while leaving her workers unpaid and piling up thousands in debt," she said.

1. She'd fit right in with those fiscal conservatives.

2. As far as federal investigations go, Christine is
way down on my list. If taxpayer money is going to be spent on investigations why not make it worthwhile. There are plenty of "evil-doers" out there and have been for 10 years or more. Too many slimy elected criminals have practically ruined our country and are still out there planning more.

3. Christine O'Donnell is pretty much a nothingburger, true
But she was heartily endorsed by some republican heavy hitters like Demint and Palin.

Any wrongdoing by her will reflect badly on them and anything that causes these creeps to lose credibility among their "base" is otay by me.

5. I see what you mean, but I think people
like DeMint and Palin have teflon coats on because they are both nuts and are still with us. Anything negative slides right off of them.

8. Probably true, still, drip, drip, drip
and pretty soon you have a flood. Every little bit of negative information builds a bigger case which eventually could destroy some of the baddies.

Of course our liberal media would have to point it out before the public would catch on. Which of course they won't.

But ya gotta hope...

O'Donnell Denies Money Misuse: 'I Expect More Things to Come'

How amusing is that? "I didn't do it, and I didn't do those other things you don't know about yet." Now that's getting ahead of a story!

6. The Today Show called it a witch hunt
And let Ms. O'Donnell carry on for her entire interview without once asking her where she got the money that she allegedly paid her campaign. It's not like she has one of those, you know, job thingies.

7. Sounds like it is about time for the new Congress to hail her as a HERO
They should pass their first resolution saying how proud they are of her. She has demonstrated she is the epitome of being a Republican..
