In other words, I'm interested in seeing if it's going up a lot for the USD but not a lot for, say, the British Pound or the Yen.

Having some difficulty finding this, if anyone can reply with a link with it all on one page I would be appreciative!

2. I'm not getting what you mean. But here's the price in $, Euros, and British pounds.

Take either the Euro or GBP and run that number through a conversion table and gold still is selling above $1500.00 an ounce.

5. Gold is only priced in $'s / troy ounce
and silver too as far as I'm aware. Anything else is just a currency conversion.

7. I gotta find more information on that because if that's really the case it's...
...a much bigger deal than the whole petro-dollars thing where oil is (or at least was) only sold in U.S. dollars.

9. There's a difference
between commodities being priced in US$s and a commodity such as oil only being traded in Petro-dollars.

11. The complication arises
because as the US$ falls the oil producers tend to increase the price to oil to compensate. That doesn't happen with gold.

6. What you will discover is that today, gold is up in Dollars, but flat
in, say Euros. All of this is in flux, but the long downward Dollar trend is contributing to gold appreciation in US$ terms.
