Gov Scott: Florida not joining Transocean lawsuit
Florida will not take part in the federal lawsuit filed in Louisiana against Transocean, owner of the Deepwater Horizon oil rig, Gov. Rick Scott said Tuesday. He made the announcement during a visit to a shipyard in Panama City.

"It doesn't make sense for the state to join the lawsuit," Scott was quoted as saying. "We have a plan to make sure our state is treated fairly with regard to getting reimbursed by British Petroleum for the damages to our state."

In a statement issued Tuesday, U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor, D-Tampa, said other states and communities appear to be more proactive in their approaches to recoup tax dollars and damages.

“With a $3 billion hole in its budget, Floridians expect the governor to be able to articulate a plan to hold BP, Transocean and others accountable,” Castor said.

2. Apparently not, no
Though there is a petition drive to get a Constitutional amendment on the ballot which would allow for recalls of statewide officeholders. I don't know how well the drive is doing.

3. What do you expect from a corpoRAT who was elected governor?
To trust his own kind more than that of the voters in FL.

He doesn't care, he is a venture capitalist and this decision will pay off BIG for him in the end.

4. Honestly... who would ever guess the next FL governor
would make even Jeb look competent by comparison. What a gang of incompetent lying, thieving RETHUG crooks we have in governorships across the country. None worse than this ass.
