Former New Mexico governor Gary Johnson announced the launch of a presidential campaign for the next election cycle on Thursday in the early primary state of New Hampshire, CNN reports.

"I have the qualifications, the ability and the know-how to do the job. I also have a track record," said Johnson, who will vie for the Republican presidential nomination, according to Reuters. "America needs a 'President Veto' right now -- someone who will say 'no' to insane spending and stop the madness that has become Washington."

8. If a Republican

wins the GOP primary on a platform that includes a pro-pot plank, they'll win the general in a landslide. There are a lot of people normally in the Democratic camp who would vote GOP on this issue alone. The trick of course is for them to win their own primary having that position - this guy, however, has done just that, successfully. That makes him a lot more dangerous than Trump as an opposing candidate.
