Birther Issue Hurting Republican Party?
Today CNN had a talk back question asking "Is the birther issue hurting the Republican Party?". I think the birther issue in and of itself is not hurting the Republican Party. The fact that so many in the Republican Party seem to support the birther issue is hurting the Republican Party.

If Donald Trump or anyone else had brought up the issue and then fallen to the bottom of the polls things would have been okay for the Republican Party. However, Donald Trump brought up the birther issue and then shot to the top of Republican polls. In addition, some polls seem to show that a large number of Republicans accept the idea of the birther issue. The fact that Repbulicans are supporting the birther issue is what will hurt the Repubican Party.

1. No! It's good news for the Republicans
It's a scientific fact that everything is always good news for the Republicans.

5. It should be hurting them
it's so ridiculous...what happens if they can't do anything about it until Obama potentially leaves in 2016? Maybe they just enjoy the idea that Obama's "not one of them"

OT, I listened to Rush Limbaugh for all of 7 minutes today at lunch. I must say he motivates me. I haven't been so sincerely pissed off at ReTeaPukeWing-Baggers and people who support them in several years. Fat tub of lard sitting on his luxurious perch shouting hate, hate, and some more hate, all the while swindling the people who cheer him on in ignorance, fear, or selfish-ness, or greed, or pride. What ever it is, it makes no sense, without the undue influence of right-wing media. It's so obvious they make profits for the rich and many people who are poor support them unquestionably.

That brings me inexorably to the point that liberals should support those who cannot fend for themselves. WOlves and jackals abound. There should be no homeless. This country could easily support medical coverage and benefits for those in need in our wunnerful capitalist system. Repugs want to feed the machine. Dems and libs should fight for everyone else. Fight.

6. The Repub party owns the birthers, Palin, Beck, Bachmann, Trump...
and all the rest of the loonies.

It's our job to keep reminding them. Publicly, and often.
