a senior in vet school myself (he was a freshman) and spent a semester as a teaching assistant for the freshman vet student microbiology class.

I know him personally, though we have not seen each other or spoken in many years.

5. He's being pushed out to make room for a teabagger, most likely

because his ego didn't let him resign nearly two years ago when the story was hot.

My guess is that he's being well paid to resign. Either that or it's a plea bargain to stay out of prison.
