What have we learned?
What have we learned in 2,064 years

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled,
public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be
tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should
be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to
work, instead of living on public assistance."

- Cicero - 55 BC

So, evidently nothing..

4. I am so vulnerable. The message came from a friend. It seemed
so logical that it would be a good bit of information to think upon.

Never occurred to me to check Snopes.

Cicero on not, (evidently not in this case), the words have a ring of wisdom and truth.

5. The last line should have come as a warning. Right out the rw talking
points - lazy unemployed who do not want to work.

6. You are right. Speaking as one who is unemployed, a Senior
and out of unemployment benefits, I should have clued in to that line.

Actually, now that I think of it, I should have been offended, not in a hurry to post the message.

I was just taken in by parts of the bogus quote that the last line escaped me. Lesson learned.
Never would I believe that the unemployed are lazy.

7. Don't feel bad - we all do that. We look for some good ideas to share
and that started very good.
