Christine O'Donnell (R-Grassy Knoll) thinks everyone is out to get her

Posted at 11:07 AM ET, 12/30/2010

By Jonathan Capehart

By now, we all know that Christine "I am not a witch. I'm you" O'Donnell is reportedly being investigated by the feds for allegations that she used $20,000 in campaign contributions to pay her rent and other personal expenses. Well, this morning the failed Republican Senate candidate from Delaware made the rounds of the morning talk shows to defend herself. Unfortunately for O'Donnell, she raised more questions than she answered.

On "Good Morning America," O'Donnell blamed disgruntled employees and the Delaware political establishment, including Vice President Biden, for her predicament.

You have to look at this whole thug politic tactic for what it is.... I'm confident that we will be cleared of any charges.... You don't need a tipster to show that this was politically motivated. We were informed that the Delaware political establishment was going to use every resource available to them, including launching phony investigations... tying me up with lawsuits to make sure I can't move forward politically.... I even expect more things to come, that's their tactic.

Um, why would the Delaware political establishment bother trying to stop O'Donnell from moving forward politically when the voters did it resoundingly for a third time at the polls in November? She lost to Chris Coons (D) by almost 17 points.

3. She was on Today AND GMA?!
Holey socks, but what a nice little favor the morning shows did for her. I wonder if I'm ever charged with a crime by the state how many morning shows I will get to go on to whine about how unfair it all is and rally public opinion to my side? I realize we're in the interweek when no news is happening, but how the hell do national shows justify putting this crybaby on?

14. Hit the trifecta
I'm sure the decision by each network to have this perennial loser on was arrived at after only the most rigorous scrutiny as to the newsworthiness of what she might have to say. :eyes:

13. Isn't her 15 minutes up?
Why is she making morning news show rounds? This makes no sense unless it's true that the media is nothing but propaganda and this is par for the course.

I have no sympathy for this cretin and if she is found guilty of being a swindler then I pray she does jail time.

18. The Democrats in Deleware are probably doing everything they can to KEEP her in politics.
Maybe the Republican establishment would want her gone, but we love her. She's like having the Detroit Lions on your schedule. You say "Yippee!" when you see them on your schedule.
