I don't have a problem with the 14 year old teabagger kid
and I don't have a problem with those in the crowd who heckled her. It's called speech and I support the free exercise thereof.

I do think it's interesting (and ironic) that a lot of those frothing at the mouth about this kid would be in ecstasies of praise if she were articulation the point of view they hold.

1. Personally, I think the child was a plant. They knew there would be union hecklers
so they found some cute 14 year old to put up there to talk. Did the union people even know who she was? Or was it a setup for some Viral Video by the GOP.

I feel the same way about that as I did when Sarah Palin trotted her youngest daughter out in front of the Flyers fans back in 2008 - you don't want the kids boo'd then don't use them as campaign props.

9. So, the vulgar stupidity was predictable?
I don't think that theory is helpful.

11. The hecklers were doing it to everyone. They're pissed. If I was in Wisconsin I'd be there too
But I would suspect the hecklers were not allowed in the area where they were speaking - so if they were off a bit of distance they may not have known that it was a 14 year old speaking.

13. Did you watch the video?
Her age was announced at her introduction and she was being called a "fucking brat". There's no doubt that they knew.

2. I have no clue what you're talking about.

From your OP I have surmised some information. I don't like teabaggers at all no matter what their age. Freedom of speech is awesome but we don't have to like what someone says and the kid wouldn't be a teabagger if she articulated my point of view.

edit: typo

3. I love to see young people taking an interest in politics, as opposed to videogames etc,
She's only 14 and I expect her views will evolve over time and as she gets more life experience. My political views certainly did. And somehow I doubt that screaming obscenities at her will help win her over to our side.

4. Right...
Because calling someone a little fucking brat is a perfectly legitimate response to a 14 year old kid saying something you disagree with. :eyes:

6. I agree
And her parents should have prepared her for the crowd's reaction, especially when it became apparent that the majority of people there weren't on her side of the issue.

Also, I do wonder how she/her parents feel about Breitbart telling the crowd to "go to hell"?

10. I have a problem with the baggers using a 14-yr.-old's age to rationalize their
bigoted, neighbor-against-neighbor mindset.

A 14-year-old doesn't have the life's experience or maturity to grasp how horrific the baggers' agenda would be for the majority of this country (baggers included). If the baggers see that they can dominate the debate by shaming those who speak out against a child who put herself out there as a voice "worth listening to", look for them to use more adolescents as bait to hide behind.
