Just got my stockholder's report from Exxon Mobil today.... |
|
( I got two shares as an employee of Mobil, many, many years ago)
Pg. 62:
"Through oilfield injection, oil extraction uses nearly 60 million gallons of water annually in the Canadian province of Alberta alone. This water is not returned to the local community and is ultimately unusable for other purposes;
The EPA reports that US oil refineries us 1 to 2 billion gallons of water daily ( up to 730 billion gallons annually) to produce fuel (USDOE, 2006)

5. No problem! We'll just distill the water. |
|
Using energy created by hydrocarbons, of course.
