Republicans' latest ploy: Using economics to justify everything from discrimination to union busting
The column below describes the fight between the Florida leg. and unions. Clipped some interesting paragraphs:

Florida Chamber goes hard after unions

Unions are hardly a force in Florida, where cheap labor, low taxes and its right-to-work status make it one of the most employer-friendly states in the nation.

But don't tell that to the Florida Chamber of Commerce.

They're going after the unions the way politicians clamor after chamber members for campaign checks. Hard.

<snip>

I'm willing to pay for 100 union leaders to go through an Economics 101 class so that they have a basic understanding of how this economy works," Wilson told me. "I believe if the union leaders would take a basic economics course, we would be able to have a much more adult conversation."

1. Has Wilson ever taken a Economics 101 class?
Because if he did I highly doubt he passed it.

2. Where did the Florida Chamber of Commerce get so much direct power?
For a while there everywhere I saw "Florida Chamber of Commerce" my mind was reading Republican Florida legislature.
